the best 10 weeks of skiing, the full course
Our SITCo ski instructor training courses are great fun and, a brilliant way to get into the snowsports industry. Our ski packages are ideal for gap year, career gap, southern hemisphere winter adventures, or even northern hemisphere "summer" holidays.
There is also a 5 Week Ski Instructor Course just for Level 1 only - ideal for less experienced skiers.
Already got your Level 1? No problem just do the 5 Week Level 2 Ski Instructor Course.
There is also the option of a 10 Week Ski Instructor Internship.
Or if you already have Level 2 Level 3 Training is available for those who are already qualified.
Or Level 3 Work Train Program is available for those who want to mix work with a structured training program.
In all advertised courses include is - Accommodation, Lift Pass - for 2 ski areas - Coronet Peak and The Remarkables, Training from a current NZSIA qualified trainer, Heli ski trip, Transport - 7 days a week to either mountain, Night sessions, Video analysis, Full exam preparation, NZSIA exams, NZSIA membership, NZSIA manual, Ski tuning seminar, Personal goal setting and progress, BBQ, Fun race, Free Spa Pool, Hoodies and "Stash"
Optional extras: SITCo. restaurant card , Freestyle Level 1 course, Children's Certificate, Avalanche Awareness
For the 10 week, the 8 week, and the 5 week L1 only courses we ask that you can ski a red/black run in control, with confidence. You don't need to be able to do this with any super style, just as long as you can deal with the terrain.
For the 5 week Intensive L1 & L2 course we ask that you can ski all groomed runs with confidence, and that you can take on the challenge of an off trail run, consistently linking your turns in most conditions. Able to do flowing short turns and the ability to ski in the fall line on varied terrain would a minimum level before you arrive.
These levels of skiing are a starting point and from this point development will be required to achieve the required standard for the NZSIA qualifications. During the 10, 8, 5 weeks there is a lot to learn so that we ask that you have this minimum level before you arrive. If you feel that you are an athletic person that could improve quickly then there is the possibility for you to be below this level, although we would hesitate to recommend it for everyone.
We have a number of different skiing courses available.
