International Visitors to New Zealand
Thinking about coming to New Zealand to join one of our courses? That’s awesome! Before you book, it’s important to check which passport you hold and which course you’re planning to take.
Visitor Visa Courses
Most of our courses can be completed on a standard Visitor Visa — and many nationalities don’t even need to apply in advance. Check the list of visa waiver countries to see if you qualify.
Work & Train Courses
If you’re enrolling in a Work & Train course or plan to work while you’re in New Zealand, you’ll need a valid work visa or the right to work in NZ. The Working Holiday Scheme is a popular option for many participants and allows you to combine training with valuable work experience.

SITCo’s Level 1 & Level 2 ski instructor training course is a life-changing journey. You’ll improve your skiing with expert technical guidance, have fun, and earn an internationally recognised qualification along the way.
Our course is specifically designed to help you unlock your full potential as both a skier and a ski instructor. Upon successful completion of your ski instructor course, you will train for the NZSIA Level 1 and Level 2 ski instructor certifications.

Level 1 Instructor Course

Level 1 Ski Instructor Course – Queenstown, New Zealand
Gain an internationally recognised qualification while having fun and skiing the epic Queenstown ski resorts, Coronet Peak and The Remarkables. What could be better?
The Level 1 course is the right course for you if you don’t have a lot of skiing experience, but your goal is to become a ski instructor. On successful completion of the Level 1 ski course, you will train for the NZSIA Level 1 qualification.
Our Level 1 & Level 2 course is also an option for less experienced skiers as you have more time to train for Level 1 and Level 2.

Level 2 Ski Instructor Course – Queenstown, New Zealand
Do you already have your Level 1 qualification and are now ready to take your qualification and training to the next level? Then SITCo’s Level 2 course is for you.
You may already have your Level 1 qualification from New Zealand, or perhaps from the UK, Canada or the US. If you have a Level 1 qualification from overseas, don’t hesitate to get in touch and we’ll confirm if you are eligible to move on to the NZSIA Level 2.
Alternatively, you could consider taking a Performance Ski Camp to prepare for your Level 2.

Do you already have your Level 2 qualification and are now ready to take your qualification and training to the next level? Then SITCo’s Level 3 course is for you.
You may already have your Level 2 qualification from New Zealand, or perhaps from the UK, Canada or the US. If you have a Level 2 qualification from overseas, don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Our Level 3 Training program is aimed at all good skiers whatever qualification pathway you are on.
Alternatively, you could consider taking a Performance Ski Camp to prepare for your Level 3.

Ski Instructor Courses – no accommodation, lift pass etc
Already got your own accommodation? Already got your own lift pass?
We also offer our Level 1 and Level 2 training qualification as a training-only package, without the accommodation etc.
For independent travellers or those already living in Queenstown, you can do our training-only option. You get all the training elements of the Level 1 and Level 2 courses, but no accommodation, lift pass or transport.
You will still receive the full SITCo welcome and personal care, including full exam prep and evening sessions.
