International Visitors into New Zealand
12 April 2022: Vaccinated Australian citizens and permanent residents can enter New Zealand and self-test on arrival.
1 May 2022: Vaccinated visitors from visa waiver countries, and visitors from other countries who already hold a valid visitor visa can enter New Zealand and self-test on arrival.

Becoming a snowboard instructor will improve your technical abilities and confidence on the snow, but it will give you much more. Each year, we see our graduates grow and develop on and off the mountain. They gain confidence, experience and a tribe of new friends. The course will also give you an internationally recognised qualification that you can use to start your career in the snow sports industry.

10-week Instructor Course
Level 1 & Level 2 NZSIA Qualification 10-week Snowboard Instructor Courses
Develop your skills, find your tribe and spend a winter in Queenstown, one of the world’s best ski towns.
SITCo’s 10-week instructor training course is a life-changing experience. You will advance your riding with technical advice and input, have loads of fun and gain an internationally recognised qualification while you do it.
The course is designed to help you fulfil your potential as a snowboarder and as a snowboard instructor. On successful completion of the 10-week snowboard course, you will train for the NZSIA/SBINZ Level 1 and Level 2 qualifications.

5-week instructor courses
Level 1
5-week Snowboard Instructor Course
Gain an internationally recognised qualification while having fun and skiing the epic Queenstown ski resorts, Coronet Peak and The Remarkables. What could be better?
This 5-week course is the right course for you if you don’t have a lot of snowboarding experience but your goal is to become a snowboard instructor. On successful completion of the 5-week course, you will train for the NZSIA/SBINZ Level 1 qualification.
Our 10-week course is also an option for less experienced snowboarders as you have more time to train for Level 1 and Level 2.

5-week Snowboard Instructor Course
Do you already have your Level 1 qualification and are now ready to take your qualification and training to the next level? Then SITCo’s 5-week Level 2 only course is for you.
You may already have your Level 1 qualification from New Zealand, or perhaps from the UK, Canada or the US. If you have a Level 1 qualification from overseas, don’t hesitate to get in touch and we’ll confirm if you are eligible to move on to the NZSIA Level 2.

5-week Snowboard Instructor Course - no accommodation
Already got your own accommodation? We also offer our Level 1 and Level 2 training qualification as a training-only package, without the accommodation.
For independent travellers or those already living in Queenstown, you can do our training only option. You get all the training elements of the above 10-week and 5-week courses with lift pass and transport, but no accomodation.
You will still receive the full SITCo welcome and personal care, including full exam prep and evening sessions.
