International Visitors to New Zealand
Thinking about coming to New Zealand to join one of our courses? That’s awesome! Before you book, it’s important to check which passport you hold and which course you’re planning to take.
Visitor Visa Courses
Most of our courses can be completed on a standard Visitor Visa — and many nationalities don’t even need to apply in advance. Check the list of visa waiver countries to see if you qualify.
Work & Train Courses
If you’re enrolling in a Work & Train course or plan to work while you’re in New Zealand, you’ll need a valid work visa or the right to work in NZ. The Working Holiday Scheme is a popular option for many participants and allows you to combine training with valuable work experience.

Develop your skills, find your tribe and spend a winter in Queenstown, one of the world’s best ski towns.
SITCo’s Level 1 & Level 2 instructor training course is a life-changing experience. You will advance your riding with technical advice and input, have loads of fun and gain an internationally recognised qualification while you do it.
The course is designed to help you fulfil your potential as a snowboarder and as a snowboard instructor. On successful completion of your snowboard course, you will train for the NZSIA/SBINZ Level 1 and Level 2 qualifications.

Level 1 Snowboard Instructor Course
Gain an internationally recognised qualification while having fun and snowboarding the epic Queenstown resorts, Coronet Peak and The Remarkables. What could be better?
The Level 1 course is the right course for you if you don’t have a lot of snowboarding experience but your goal is to become a snowboard instructor. On successful completion of the Level 1 course, you will train for the NZSIA/SBINZ Level 1 qualification.
Our Level 1 & Level 2 course is also an option for less experienced snowboarders as you have more time to train for Level 1 and Level 2.

Level 2 Snowboard Instructor Course
Do you already have your Level 1 qualification and are now ready to take your qualification and training to the next level? Then SITCo’s Level 2 course is for you.
You may already have your Level 1 qualification from New Zealand, or perhaps from the UK, Canada or the US. If you have a Level 1 qualification from overseas, don’t hesitate to get in touch and we’ll confirm if you are eligible to move on to the NZSIA Level 2.
Alternatively, you could consider taking a Performance Snowboard Camp to prepare for your Level 2.

Level 1 & Level 2 Training Only
Snowboard Instructor Course - no accommodation, lift pass etc
Already got your own accommodation? We also offer our Level 1 and Level 2 training qualification as a training-only package, without the accommodation.
For independent travellers or those already living in Queenstown, you can do our training-only option. You get all the training elements of the Level 1 & Level 2 courses with lift pass and transport, but no accommodation.
You will still receive the full SITCo welcome and personal care, including full exam prep and evening sessions.
