Here we go 2022!
It’s been a couple of years since we ran our longer courses (something to do with a global pandemic, I think) but with the recent announcement of our borders reopening to overseas travellers in July, WE ARE BACK!!
And on an even more positive note, I was talking to someone in the travel industry yesterday and she believes there is a very strong possibility the borders will open sooner. Fingers crossed!
We Are Back!June – September 2022
As well as the comeback of our five- and 10-week instructor training courses, we have increased the number of our PERFORMANCE SKI CAMPS on offer this year.
One of the positives of this global pandemic thing (yes there are positives if you look closely enough and are a glass half full type of person) is that it forced us to look outside of our traditional courses and explore other training options.
Back in 2020 we floated the idea of running Performance Ski Camps, the response was super positive, and we have started to build some momentum.
We ran a couple of courses in 2020 and then last season we extended our offer to six weeks of camps.
This year we’ve gone even further.
We now have 10 weeks of PERFORMANCE SKI CAMPS on offer!
The first camp starts in the last week of June (June 27 to be exact) and the last camp starts in the last week of August (August 29 is the start date of that one) and there are courses every week, even right through the busy school holiday period!
It doesn’t get any better than that.
Of course, if you are skiing outside of the school holidays you’ll get the same benefits – we are just stoked to be able to offer a full season of performance ski camps.

What else do we have going on?
Well, there is potential for non-qualified folk to register for the NZSKI Rookie Program. If this sounds like something that might interest you or someone you know, get in touch with us and we will guide you through the process.
There are also a couple of different instructor training options if you can’t fit the five- or ten-week programs into your schedule. Once again, get in touch if you want the details.
This year we are not offering our very popular internship programs.
This is largely due to the local mountains not being able to predict how busy they are going to be, so unable to offer work contracts.
Hopefully this time next year we will be announcing that the internship program is back.
So, there we have it, for 2022 we welcome back our original long course INSTRUCTOR TRAINING PROGRAMS after a two-year hiatus, an increase in the amount of PERFORMANCE SKI CAMPS on offer and we will of course continue our long-established relationship with BROWNS SKI SHOP here in Queenstown.
So, if you want to spend some time on snow with us, need equipment, or just fancy chatting about snow stuff get in touch.
